Raspberry Pi – Sharing file between PI and Mac

Mounting the raspberry pi home directory to avoid the push / pull game with git can become painful. It’s relatively straight forward to get shared folders using the appletalk protocol

Install the apple talk protocol on the pi

sudo apt-get install netatalk

On the host mac, enter

open afp://192.168.1.55

Enter the username and password when prompted, your mounted folder will be available in the /Volumes directory in the root of the file system

cd /Volume
