Raspberry Pi

People often ask me what is possible with the power of the raspberry pi. I’m have a tendency to buy numerous microcontrollers / cheap standalone controllers, just to see how they work and if they could prove more useful to me than the raspberry pi. The release of the Pi Zero for $5 pretty much put the nail in the coffin when it comes to IoT ( Internet of Things ) work for prototyping. Some of the projects include:

Music controlled christmas lights

Storefront light display

Yeah great it’s just a big sign, what’s the big deal? Look what happens when you book an appointment and the how the sign responds
